Day 351 – 10/22/11 – As Above…

One of our excursions in Bar Harbor was a mountain biking trip through Acadia National Park.  In this case “mountain” bike is appropriate, as we were biking up and down Cadillac Mountain.

It was an amazing, and beautiful, ride.  As you can imagine, I stopped quite a bit along the way for photography breaks.  Including at a large pond/small puddle which contained a perfect reflection of the colorful trees surrounding it.

I also stopped to take some portraits alongside this mountain stream.

The first 75% of the ride was a series of uphill jaunts.  The next 20% or so was relatively level.  The last bit of the ride felt like it was straight downhill, which made for an exhilarating ride!  I did stop on the way down to capture a view of the harbor through what looked like a perfect picture window through the trees.
