The flowers on the Purple Plum from a few days ago have dried up and fallen. Luckily they’ve been replaced by the apple tree in the front yard. It’s been an interesting spring, with one of our flowering bushes succeeding the next in almost perfect order. Perhaps its all the rain we’ve gotten.
This is a beautiful tree when it’s in full bloom, though like the others it doesn’t last long. There’s only a few flowers out yet, but I’ll be sure to capture the whole tree if I can once it’s fully bloomed. In the meantime, here’s a taste. I only wish the photograph could convey the wonderful smell of this tree as well.
