Day 164 – 04/18/11 – Jin Bo

We’ve been struggling with the little one in Taekwondo for some time now, she just hasn’t shown the same interest as her sister.  That all changed – rather abruptly – when we hit red belt.  You see, at red belt we start using a staff.

Yes, that’s right, we not only allow the girls to swing sticks around, we’re encouraging it.  Perhaps we’re not the brightest parents in town…

Regardless, the little one absolutely loves the staff.  To the point that she’s actually learned the form better than her sister, which is a first.  She likes it so much that she insists on practicing at home as often as she can.  She also wanted to be the subject for a taekwondo image of the day – another first.

The little one prepares to practice her Jin Bo Staff form.

From flower blossoms to martial arts, I sure jump subjects, don’t I?

I jump around a lot too, isn’t that the beauty of this project? We can post what inspires us that day.
