Day 150 – 04/04/11 – Leather and Light

As is the case with most Monday evenings, we got home late and had a ton of things to do.  To be honest I wasn’t feeling very creative, and couldn’t think of anything to shoot.

I decided to play around with portrait lighting some more, and asked the little one if she’d mind modeling.  She was more than willing, so I set out to make an image with her face partially in shadow.  I was very happy with the result, and was getting ready to post.  I decided to play around with it a bit more in processing, and added a creamtone black and white treatment.

I set out with nothing at all in mind, and after a bit of experimentation ended up with this image, which is probably my favorite image of the last month or so.  Reminds me why I enjoy playing with this camera so much!

Thanks Bonnie! There’s a reason I finished my basement so nicely, I’m planning on locking both girls in there until they’re well past dating age 😉
