Day 148 – 04/02/11 – Trying To Bloom

The weather’s been weird here lately, bouncing from warm and gray to cold and gray to snowy and gray.  The constant, as you may have noticed, is gray.  It feels as if the sun hasn’t been out in weeks, though I know that’s not the case.

Despite the constant grayness and sub-freezing temperatures, there are still a few signs of spring hanging on.  For instance, there’s this little guy, struggling mightily to push its way through the mulch and on-again off-again snow.

A hyacinth trys to push through to greet the spring.

Great pic Jim. My tulips looked that a few weeks ago…now I actually have a couple buds on them. We’ve had a sun/grey mix here today, but at least it was out some! Have a good weekend!
