Day 134 – 03/19/11 – Spring

Though there are rumors of snow again next week, we have some nice weather today.  There’s even a sign or two of spring, including some flowers which have popped up in the backyard.  I took advantage of the early morning light to get out and shoot some of them.

The first flowers of spring arrive.

Considering we had several feet of snow which has just finished melting, plus recent rain, the yard is rather muddy.  In order to get close enough for this shot without ending up covered in mud I had to be a bit creative.  The wife apparently thought my improvised mud gear was funny enough that she snapped a picture herself.  Everybody’s a comedian 😀

Love the macro shot and wonderful use to DOF in this shot. It’s all worth the effort you took to get this shot.

I love the flower photo. Fabulous composition, amazing DOF. Just wonderful! As for the wife’s photo of you in your mud gear…I literally laughed out loud! But hey…anything for a photo, right? Reminded me of the time I walked down railroad tracks in 3 inch heels…too bad nobody caught that one 🙂
