We’ve finally warmed up a bit here, if only temporarily. I arrived home to find the girls outside riding bikes and scooters. They explained to me that they were hunting leprechauns, which of course is appropriate on St. Patrick’s Day.
This is the little one’s official leprechaun hunting equipment. The bike to chase after them (they’re fast), the shovel to dig them up (apparently they burrow when seen), the bag to hold the gold (the pot is too heavy to carry on a bike), and I suppose the helmet to protect her noggin against angry green men. You’d think the helmet was just for the bike riding, but it stayed on during the digging as well.
Unfortunately the leprechauns all got away this time. I suppose that means they’ll be around next year to hunt again.
