Day 86 – 01/30/11 – Pyramid of Shadows

Today’s Daily Shoot assignment is to make a photograph using hard light. Specifically, the goal is to “feature the crisp and strong shadows as a major element of your photograph.

I have a knick knack on my desk that is a great stress reliever.  It’s a giant magnet with a whole slew of little metal guys and sticks.  It’s wonderful to kill time with while sitting on  conference calls.  It also casts a mean shadow.

Little silver mean climb for the sky.

Little silver men climb for the sky.

This is awesome! I’m proud of you for the shadow…you normally work so hard to get rid of your shadows 🙂

  2. Nice capture of shadows Jim. Was wondering if you have a version where the focus was on the shadow not the subject? Would be interesting to see having the item (which, btw, I have the same magnet guys at my desk) slightly out of focus! 😀

You knocked today’s assignment out of the park! This is a great shot, the shadow you captured is perfect!
