Day 41 – 12/16/10 – Puppy Tracks

While it’s still bitterly cold, the snow has stopped falling – at least for now.  So I managed to get a few shots outside today.

We have a tree in the front yard that the dog loves to run circles around, usually in pursuit of a hapless squirrel.  During the summer she has a pretty easy time of it.  In the winter however, she has to work for her squirrel-torturing entertainment.  Here’s the results of her hard work, a carefully plowed Puppy Express circling the tree.

The dog has plowed herself a trail around her favorite squirrel tree.

As a bonus shot today, here’s the Puppy herself.  She’s either warming her nose after digging in the snow, or licking off the remains of whatever she found under there.  I’m fairly sure I don’t want to know which!

Aww…how cute! My yard looks like that too (only MUCH more messed up) when my boy Cullen gets out there. He adores the snow!

Thanks guys! Don’t worry bonnie, the rest of the yard is thoroughly trashed! It was actually the relatively untouched center of that circle that drew my attention in the first place 😉
